Spanning approximately 35 hectares in area, the Isinya Roses farm is located about 55km from Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, in the Isinya Division of the Rift Valley Province. One hectare of the total area of the farm is dedicated to propagation, trial houses, packing area and staff accommodations, while the rest of the farm is filled with green houses where the roses take birth.
The farm compliments and cares for the environment within which it works as the company plays an active role in planting trees and caring for the ecosystems that surrounds us. Kenya, known the world over for its natural beauty in not just fauna, but flora as well, Isinya Roses take great pride in helping keep our country clean and green through our collective responsibilities in keeping our environment progressively sustainable. To date, we have planted over 15,000 trees at the farm which has become home to various varieties of birdlife, adding natural life to the farm. |

We maintain our own water supply through four boreholes, supplemented by two large and four small dams. The farm also runs and manages a proper waste water management system and chemical container disposal, as certified by NEMA (National Environment Management Authority). In addition to subscribing to NEMA, we are also members of the Kenya Flower Council and MPS which oversee the professional standards of the company.
Our workforce comprises of over 700 employees, which includes general workers and management staff. Our staff, which is like on big family, is supported by Isinya Roses through a welfare committee that caters to their needs of housing and regular trainings in environmental managament and general safety in occupational matters. |
